I have been so busy during the last few weeks that I have fallen behind in my posting here on the blog ... I'm going to try to play a little "catch up" for the next few days. I have 11 layouts to post done with Amber's wonderful templates! (7 template packs released since mid October - not necessarily in the order of release or my work). All of these template packs are available exclusively at Scrapable
I really love butteflies (I guess you know that if you follow my work!) - shots taken 10/15/2012 in my neighborhood - more info later in this post! Kit featured is Jen C Designs FALL FESTIVAL
Mike's brother Joe took this photo of the two of us in the orchid house at the Denver Botanic Gardens. The gardens are permanently on the "must do" list for Denver. This was our first visit since the new orchid house was completed! It is amazing! The water gardens have been altered a lot with with renovations, but their were still some beautiful reflection pictures to be had! Kit featured is Sweet Digi Scraps THESE MEMORIES .
Monarch on layover in my neighborhood 10/15/2012 - I'm so glad I took my camera up to the vacant lot to photograph the flowers because I was rewarded with these butterflies too! This layout features Baby Cakes Scraps AUTUMN BLISS
I photographed this rose in the San Antonio Botanical Gardens on April 1, 2012 - they just don't get more beautiful than this one! The kit is Sweet Digi Scraps DOCUMENT THAT.
Although this butterfly looks like a Monarch from the underside of the wings, it really was a Queen, that I photographed in the Zilker Botanical Gardens on November 19, 2011. Their similarity to the Monarch on the outside works in their favor, since birds know that Monarchs have a toxin in their bodies which will make the bird sick, they usually leave the Monarchs alone. Queens don't have the same toxin, but are saved by the "look alike" underside of their wings! Lucky, Queens! The kit featuared here is Sweet Digi Scraps DOCUMENT THIS
This photo was taken my a willing Angel in the lobby outside The Angel Company's last Awards Banquet at Seminar 2011 - 6 weeks later the company was sold and our days of being "Angels" are no more. Paula Kay, Cindie and I enjoyed our evening ... all dressed up in our own version of the "little black dress!" The kit featured is True North Scraps 5 SHADES OF GRAY which includes an alphabet call LITTLE BLACK DRESS!
THANKFUL GREETINGS
I absolutely love this photo I took in the Grand Tetons National Park. The Tetons, although not the highest range of the Rockies, have the most spectacular views, whether from the East side (like this one) or the West side - where we stayed in Idaho. Mike's automatic transmission really struggled a little in the Pass through the Tetons with the 12 % grade! But, it was gorgeous! My card features Sweet Digi Scraps NOTE TO SELF kit
Mike and I took these photos of each other on Sunday, June 17 at Mesa Falls National Park, in Island Park, Idaho (near Yellowstone National Park). This is how we saw each other for most of our two week vacation! The layout features Designs by Vassia STAY IN TOUCH
I took these butterfly photos on the summit of Enchanted Rock near Llano, TX on November 15. It's amazing to see flowers growing out of the top of the rock (there are trees too!) and where there are flowers, you will find butterflies in the Fall in Texas! It was a glorious Indian Summer day ... the layout features Jen C Designs PROJECT 2012 FALL COLLECTION
I took this butterfly photo in a vacant lot up the street from my house. I went to take photos of the flowers and was rewarded with about a dozen Monarchs that had stopped by on their annual migration south to Mexico. We are on the Eastern edge of the path they take each year, and it is amazing to see them collect in an area. They were only there for a one-day stopover, so I'm glad I took my camera when I went for my walk that afternoon! My layout features Jen C Designs PROJECT 2012 FALL COLLECTION
