Personal collection - 1/30/2019

I began January by showing you my layout:

The tall bare tree trunks worked so well with my photo split template.  If you choose your photos well, splitting them like this provides an interesting look.  I use this technique often on landscape photos.  Never on people photos ... just don't like to split up faces!

alpha sheet

I added a sweet little glitter border to my alpha ... just like snow sparkling in the sunshine!  All the Upper Case letters are on one sheet, just clip them apart to use them!  (I was busy during December and this was as far as I could get on making an alpha ... still useable I think!)

Personal collection - Jan 2019 SNOWY DAYS

I gave you a peek at my SNOWY DAYS collection on January 1.  And now the gift-giving begins:  Today's portion contains 10 flair (so helpful in filling out clusters) and the SNOWY DAYS logo I created for the collection!  You are seeing the logo in the preview, but will find a png version in the collection.  The flair shows off the complete color palette for this collection.

Welcome to 2019!

I'm taking a couple of weeks off to rest and recuperate from my "ART-FULL 2018."  

 I live in Central Texas  where it rarely (if ever) snows ... but I am fascinated by PHOTOS of the stuff!  Our last measureable snowfall was in February 2010! 

I have a good friend in Upstate New York who often shares her photos with me, so I have photos to work with during the winter months when so many designers are using snowy themes!  This year I have combined the color palettes of my January 2017 and 2018 kits (both snow-related) and created more snowy splendor for you to use ...  here's a layout that I did with my 2019 SNOWY DAYS collection.  I know you've seen me do split photos before ... I love the technique!  It draws the eye to look at all the parts of the photo individually ... (and I often see things in the parts of the photo that were well hidden in the large photo!)  This is one of the photos my NY friend  Pat Kirk shared with me (taken in her backyard!)

You can expect to see SNOWY DAYS starting on Jan 11, 2019.  My Designer collection for January will begin on Jan 14.  Stay tuned ...
