poki's photo projects: Very Busy January

Digital Designs with Amber Morrison opened her store at The Digi Chick with a large variety of her kits! I had worked with some of them before, but I wanted to be sure to highlight only products from the Digi Chick,so ... I've done 13 new layouts using Amber's templates and other product from The Digi Chick designers during January!

I started off 2013 with Digital Designs by Amber Morrison's WINTER'S KISS

I combined her wonderful templates with Sweet Digi Scraps WINTER WONDERLAND

This was a "match made in heaven" in my opinion - I love combining templates from Amber with kits from Liz! Thanks to my friend, Pat Kirk, for the great photos to work with - there is NO SNOW to speak of in Texas, but upstate New York has had some this year!

Next on my work agenda was Digital Designs by Amber Morrison THE BIG PICTURE

which I also combined with Sweet Digi Scraps WINTER WONDERLAND! This is another beautiful photo from my friend Pat Kirk

Then I jumped over to SUMMER TO REMEMBER from Amber (which it were that quick to get to summer! ... I'm not so fond of winter!)

I did two layouts with this template, just to show it's versatility (I used the same template on both layouts). The first one is combined with Kimeric Kreations OH HAPPY DAY (which was a collaboration wtih Digital Designs by Amber Morrison)

My first layout features a cute pictures of my great niece Gaby!

I love this photo with the bright, cheerful color palette of OH, HAPPY DAY! But, I discovered that the template also works well with a more muted palette like Sweet Digi Scraps DESTINATION: THE PAST

The photo is one I took last summer in the canyon below the Yellowstone River Lower Falls ... that was an amazing day for photography & me!

I then moved on to Amber's sweet kit CHEESECAKE

which I combined with a new kit from Sweet Digi Scraps called CLEAN SLATE.

I actually used my own photos of the one-and-only SNOW in Texas in February 2010!

So, how about a party with CONFETTI, CONFETTI

I combined a template from this pack with Sweet Digi Scraps GOLD MEMBER KIT at DST (Liz is the Featured Designer at DST for January 2013!

The photo is my friend's Jolon and Sarah's children walking to their neighborhood school. Logan is such a good big brother, taking great care of little sister Chloe on her first day! Thanks to Jolon for sharing this great pix!

Next, Digital Designs by Amber Morrison JAWBREAKER

Love the chevrons in these templates! I combined it with the super luscious collab from Sweet Digi Scraps and ETC by Danyale called KASHMIR ...

and featured a photo of the Clark family "Christmas" gathering last summer in Colorado! The photo was in Amy Clark's gallery, but I'm sure Seamus did the sprint to get in the photo! Thanks for the used of this lovely photo, Amy!

I used these to highlight photos from my nephew Bryan's first family Christmas in their new home! Such a cute little family, and a beautiful new home! I am proud for you all!

Next, Amber's SIMPLICITY

with Sweet Digi Scraps HAPPY TO HAVE YOU (love this color palette, so I used it again in a layout that will come farther down on this post!)

My layout shows one of my favorite hiking spots in Texas - Enchanted Rock! On November 8 (at 62+ years old) I made my second successfully climb, cutting about 30 minutes off my climb time! My first climb was made at 60+ but I didn't make it to the top that time! The view from the top of that rock is AMAZING!

Only four more projects completed in January (so far ... but I'm supposed to have something new in my inbox soon for Thursday, Jan 24) This is Amber's template pack called SPOOKTACULAR although you won't find skeleton's "in the closet" here.

I combined it with Sweet Digi Scraps HOLIDAY WONDER

to create this layout for my view of the Grand Teton in Wyoming! No holiday at all in this layout, just nature at it's SPLENDID BEST! I really love the versatility of Amber's templates and Liz's kit!

WELL ROUNDED makes cropping photos into circles so easy-peasy!

I used Sweet Digi Scraps kit LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL

and featured this beautiful Eastern Yellow Swallowtail butterfly which I "caught" at my friend Pam's house in San Saba County! She has an amazing butterfly garden which she waters from a deep well! The flowers and the butterflies both love her for it!
