My mind has been
“longing for Spring” for several weeks now … especially during the Winter Storm
“madness” we had in February.
Spring layouts with my
personal wordart, helped me pass those days of winter hanging on. The calendar says it’s Spring now … and so do
the fields of wildflowers!! Spring in Texas is “wild heaven!”

Quote is from Lady Bird Johnson, wife of President Lyndon Johnson, who worked diligently to restore the roadsides of America to native blooms. She was a co-founder, with Helen Hayes, of the Texas State Botanical Garden in Austin, called Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center. (1982) It is currently managed by the University of Texas. The center features more than 900 species of native Texas plants in both garden and natural settings and is home to a breadth of educational programs and events.
