Sweet Digi Scraps

Liz of Sweet Digi Scraps was kind enough to give her Creative Team the month of December off ... but she didn't take the month off that's for sure.  She has been posting a FREEBIE on her blog every day in December (there are still a few more days you can catch if you go visit)  All of her FREEBIES are now available in her store at The Digi Chick

I haven't had a chance to play much with the freebies I've collected from Liz, but I did feature her kit MISTLETOE on my blog earlier this month.

Here's the first layout I did with MISTLETOE when it was released on 11/23/2012

I created a cluster FREEBIE which was featured from December 14 - 27 (link has been removed)

and used it on a gift card for a friend

I created this layout featuring Digital Designs by Amber Morrison  FA-LA-LA-LA and Sweet Digi Scraps MISTLETOE  - what a perfect comibination!  Amber's templates and Liz's elements make cluster building a BREEZE!

I cropped out the bottom cluster and offered it as a FREEBIE here on my blog from December 17 - 27 (link has been removed)

and it became a grounding point for my framed wordart in this tablescape which was featured  December 26 on The Hybrid Chick - I love how this turned out, and I'm thinking up other words that can be used for similar projects!  I'll be sure to show you what I come up with ... maybe Valentines, but definitely Spring!

All of my designers have been challenging me recently with SNOWY KITS ... don't they know that I don't know much about SNOW! It rarely snows here in Texas (but I did see some snow in Dallas on Christmas Day - just glad it didn't follow me home!) Here's a pix my nephew posted late in the day on 12/25/2012 - it is beautiful in the pix, but wasn't too much fun on the highway. My sister is an experienced snow/ice driver having lived in Illinois for 13 years, but she said it made her nervous driving Mom's car with all of us in it (Sandy, Mom, Mike and poki - we had been to Bryan & Tami's house for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day)

Sweet Digi Scraps released a beautiful snow themed kit called WINTER WONDERLAND last week - the color palette is gorgeous, not your traditional pale blue, but a vibrant teal instead!  WOW!

I just happen to have a few beautiful pictures from a rare snowy day in February 2010 (our ONLY snowy day in 2010)  and used one to feature in this layout with WINTER WONDERLAND and Digital Designs by Amber Morrison A GIRL'S BEST FRIEND - another great combination that resulted in some FABULOUS clusters!  I'm amazed at how my cluster building has developed since I was introduced to Amber's work and Liz's work . (I joined Amber's team on 7/28/2012 and Liz's team on 8/18/2012 and consider myself LUCKY to know these FABULOUS designers!  I'm so glad I didn't talk myself out of applying for their Creative Teams!)

Amber just released her JUST PEACHY at The Digi Chick today, so I paired it with Sweet Digi Scraps WINTER WONDERLAND  and used a few more photos from that same day 2/23/2010 (our only snow in 2010)

I don't suppose I took any time off during December, huh?
